#46 The Grace of God

Verse of the Day:
“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV

What is meant by the grace of God?
God's grace- all the good gifts we enjoy freely in life. It is the gift of life; the wondrous gift of being human with all its delights.

It is the amazing kind of grace- God's gift of redemption, the grace which prompts us to repent, causing us to think again when we find ourselves in a bad way, and which prompts us to return, putting us back on a more godly path.

It is God's continual, unfailing faithfulness both to his covenant and to his people forever.

Grace is basically a gift. It does not come as a result of something a person did or in recognition of an accomplishment or milestone. So, unlike a birthday or Christmas gift that one receives in recognition of an event, grace is given to us by God for no reason. All of us are recipients of the grace of God regardless of how "good" or "bad" we are.

Think of it as steadfast love, compassion, mercy—a kind of unconditional acceptance that is unlike human love.

How do we experience grace today? 

Remember this statement: "You are accepted." You and I are accepted, fully and totally accepted by God, now, always, without condition, without deserving, without question. To be accepted in this way means to be cherished, to be loved, to be guarded from ultimate evil. It means that who we basically are is valued, honored and respected. It means that we don't have to earn or deserve such care; it is simply there for us, ours as a gift outright. The grace of God is given to us at God's initiative. It is an expression of God's love for us, of God's desire, of God's unconditional acceptance, an expression of the very nature of God's being.

Psalm 103
1 Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

#44 The Joy of the LORD is my Strength

Luke 3-4 (excerpts)
John the Baptist Prepares the Way 

“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.
5 Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
the rough ways smooth.
6 And all people will see God’s salvation.’”

...He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.


The Baptism and Genealogy of Jesus 
...Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened 22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness

Praise the LORD!

Jesus read: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”


Jesus came to earth to fulfill God's promise of salvation: to preach, to proclaim the good news-- to tell us all that the Lord's favor is for all of us. Amen!


How truly blessed are we who received Him and who will receive Him. He has given us a favor which we will never be able to repay out of His overflowing love for us all. 


May this day be the beginning of a beautiful relationship with the LORD, and always :)


-- to all the poor, not financially but spiritually,..... may you become rich through Him, amen.


-- to all the prisoners, bounded by worries, sufferings, pleasures of life,..... may you be free indeed in His light, amen.


-- to all those who cannot see, not blind physically but blind spiritually,..... may you see His immeasurable grace and submit to Him your whole being and your life, amen.


God is the fulfillment of our lives, ..... here on earth and His incoming Kingdom.


We know we can rejoice in Him, everyday, every moment, every breath because He is with us :)

#43 Great is Thy Faithfulness!

I have shared that God had change my life's perspective. 

Am I happy about it?.......my answer is a resounding YES and more, and I am truly grateful to Him wholeheartedly :)

As I try to live God's words everyday, every moment, every breath, I make it a point to let His words penetrate deep within me, to the very heart of me, because I want to please my Heavenly Father, to show Him that my love and appreciation of Him will transcend my innermost being.

I have told my hubby once we are having a beautiful talk about my walk with God that it is my sincerest desire to be more than a regular child of God; not only to show Him how grateful or appreciative I am to Him, but more than that, I want to Him to be proud of me, more than my parents have been proud of me.


I believe I have been a good child. From the moment I had the real knowledge of what is right and what is wrong, most of the time, I chose to do what is right because my ultimate purpose in life that time is always to please my parents and for them to be proud of me.


And I believe I never failed them. I have been a constant achiever in school since I was young. I graduated valedictorian in elementary; I am an outstanding graduate in highschool; I graduated Cumlaude and an outstanding student in college; and I have passed my Certified Public Accountant Exam.


Back then, we are not poor but I can assure everyone, we don't have much. We are always lacking. My way of giving back to the sacrifices made by my parents so that I can be in school is by being great in what I do, and that is studying.


And all my hard work paid. After passing my Accounting Board Exam, it opened a lot of opportunity on my part and that is the time I have reaped all I have sown-- the hardships of being studious have been replaced by a successful carreer, high-paying jobs, good benefits and the like.


And I am able to give my parents the "good life" they deserve because it was my promise to myself that when time comes, they will experience it.


I know my dad died a happy and fulfilled father. And I know too that my mom is contented with the life she is still living in the service of the Lord.


My life back then is not always a bed of roses but I have learned a lot. And I am just glad, I have God with me.


Our Loving Lord gave me the limelight almost all throughout the lifetime He let me live my life. But now, as I am almost turning 40 this November, and as He let me have a loving and deepening relationship with Him, not the usual thank you God for all the blessings, I have now shifted the limelight to Him. That as I continue to live this borrowed life from Him, I will be the very best child to the Heavenly Father whom unfailingly showed me He loves me so much, and whom have been so patient with me so that I may grow in His wisdom and stature.


Now I know, He is my priority. And I will live my life according to His will. And in all I say and all I do, my life will exalt Him. This is a firm conviction on my part; it is not easy, but I know that my God will help and strengthen me through the Holy Spirit in me as I live my life for Him.


May we all share the same conviction for Him (".)

#42 Boast in the name of the LORD

This post is dedicated primarily to our Loving Lord and to all the readers of my blog. I want to thank God for letting me share Him and I want to thank my readers for taking time to read and contemplate on His words. Truly, when we open our hearts, our mind, our soul and even our strength to the only God who gives life, we will experience the fullness of it.

It's my 2nd year anniversary of being baptized in Jesus Christ (October 17, 2010) and my life has never been the same when I have fully surrendered my life to Him.

I know I have shared that when He starts the sanctification process in your life, you will just shout to Him, "use me O Lord."

I am more than humbled because God has been more than good to me all my life; and my words are not enough to let Him know that I appreciate to the fullest His love, mercy, kindness and all His blessings.

This blog is for Him and for you all who reads it and are uplifted. It is my hubby who have convinced me to start a blog and I am glad I did it. My first post was dated August 17, 2011- "God's Words of Encouragement" and since then I am hooked sharing Him. 

Truly, the same statement that I have written in my #10th post- "Share God.....It's uplifting!" is the same one I will let everyone to reflect:

 "To share God is truly a lingering blessing and experience."

Isaiah 55:11

so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

#41 Grow in His wisdom and stature

Luke 2 (excerpts)
The Birth of Jesus 
...the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”


21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.


Jesus Presented in the Temple 
...as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”

...Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against,35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

The Boy Jesus at the Temple 
...After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”

49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

I will never forget this verse, it is already ingrained in my heart and my mind:
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.


It had shown me a lot of meaning, and I am truly blessed for letting me see and discern His beautiful words for me.


I have shared a post in my facebook, "when you get in tune with God, you think less of yourself and more of God."
And it is not really thinking only, but the totality of yours is being transformed to a new you, a better you, a Godly-you.


Who would not want to grow in wisdom and stature both favoring God and men?
But this will never be possible if we will not center our life with God. It is only our God who can lead, guide and make us grow in wisdom and stature-- physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally but most of all.....spiritually. 


Everyday is a day for growing in the Lord....wholly.


It is my humble request from our Loving Lord that as He leads and guide me and walk me in His light, I maybe able to do the same to my child.


As I am writing this post, we are watching Good Life 45 and the topic are the atheists. He asked me what are they? I told him, they are people who don't believe in God. And he told me...."Mommy, I believe in God!"


Another leap in my heart....I thank God I never have to convince my child that there is God because I know in my heart that the Holy Spirit is working in my child as early as he is. And as he recited again to me the fruits of the Spirit which is now being nurtured and grown in his heart, I am just really blessed!


Be thankful if you are not questioning that there is God and you believe in Him! And yes, He will grow you in His wisdom and stature, until the time He will come back for us (".)

The Birth of John the Baptist Foretold

...the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born. 16 He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

The Birth of Jesus Foretold 

...the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Zechariah’s Song 
67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:

68 “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has come to his people and redeemed them.
69 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David
70 (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),
