#14 God is love and He never fails

A blessed day to everyone (".)

I have asked myself, why does God love us so much.......we are all so unlovable? My finite mind cannot comprehend the real meaning of it but He revealed it, even in just a glimpse.

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.--1 Corinthians 13:12.

I hold on this verse in the Bible:

1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

And here is somehow an explanation of why He loves us...
God does not merely love; He is love itself. Everything God does flows from His love. But it is important to remember that God’s love is not a sappy, sentimental love such as we often hear portrayed. God loves because it is His nature and the expression of His being. He loves the unlovable and the unlovely (us!), not because we deserve to be loved, but because it is His nature to do so, and He must be true to His nature and character. God’s love is displayed most clearly at the Cross, where Christ died for the unworthy creatures (us!) who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1), not because we did anything to deserve it, but God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

God's greatest desire is that we join Him in His eternal home, heaven. He has made the way possible by paying the price for our sins. He loves us because He chose to as an act of His will. Love forgives

God's love for us is the "agape" kind of love.

Agape love - unconditional love that is always giving and impossible to take or be a taker. It devotes total commitment to seek your highest best no matter how anyone may respond. This form of love is totally selfless and does not change whether the love given is returned or not. This is the original and only true form of love.

God is the perfect example of true love. Amazingly, God has given those who receive His Son Jesus as their personal Savior the ability to love as He does, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

1 John 3:1
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

1 John 3:23-24
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.

The love Jesus demonstrated toward us on the cross is just the beginning. When we place our trust in Him as our Savior, He makes us God’s children, co-heirs with Him! He comes to dwell within us through His Holy Spirit, promising that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5-6).

.....God is love; it is His nature, and that will never change:
I have tried to substitute the word "love" with "God" in 1 Corinthians 13, and this is His perfect revelation (".)

- God is patient;
- God is kind;
- God does not envy;
- God does not boast;
- God is not proud;
- God does not dishonor others;
- God is not self-seeking;
- God does not easily angered;
- God does not keep record of wrongs;
- God does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth;
- God always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres;
- God never fails.

Our Loving God, Jesus Christ in personification, revealed all His nature and character when He dwelt with us in the past........and yes, we will be united with Him in the future.

Inspirational Prayer:
Dear God, Your words are truly eternal and uplifting. We give back glory to You everyday, every moment. May our lives be an embodiment of Your glory until our last breath. To hold onto You is our paramount choice. Thank you for your love, teach us to reciprocate such love to You and to others in magnanimous ways. In Jesus mighty name, Amen.
