"He came to give me life."
John 10:27-29
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
Praise God!
As I contemplated on my devotional today, I can't help but share and be in awe of God's gift for me-- my eternal life....my salvation.
Dr. Charles Stanley, in his "An Intimate Look at the Birth of Jesus Christ," emphasized some key points why we need to be grateful that Christ came. He listed the following:
> Because Jesus came, we have now complete assurance of forgiveness;
> Because Jesus came, we have the guarantee of eternal life;
> Because Jesus came, we have now the personal access to God's presence;
> Because Jesus came, we have the indwelling Holy Spirit in us;
> Because Jesus came, we have freedom from the Law (Old Testament).
Yes, we are truly blessed beyond measure. Heaven...Paradise has been opened up again for all of us. In God's beautiful time, we will all experience His amazing promises of serenity, abundance, no death, no war, no famine, no tears, no loneliness......only an inexplicable, immeasurable, eternal life spent with our God, our Father in Heaven, our Prince of Peace, our Alpha and Omega....the beginning and the end :)
May all of us claim with all our heart such salvation; it's a gift......receive it :)
Have a great day in the Lord!

If you have not received Jesus Christ yet in your heart, today is the day. May you embrace His love and His gift :)
"Lord Jesus, I believe You are truly the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior, accepting the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross. Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen." (ref prayer by: Dr. Charles Stanley, InTouch Ministry)
