#101 Deepening our knowledge of God

A blessed and reflective reading to all (".)

Acts 17 (excerpts)
...“May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? 20 You are bringing some strange ideas to our ears, and we would like to know what they mean.”
22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. 23For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

Praise God!
I had been raised to a predominantly Roman Catholic family and I grew up in a predominantly christian environment- people who believe that there is One God in Triune (God the Father, God the Son-Jesus, and the Holy Spirit). Raised as a Roman Catholic, I had a good-bearing of being in tune with a holy, powerful and loving God who always answers prayers. And I praise and thank God for letting me know Him since I was young, through my parents who nourished me a spiritual connection with a God in Trinity.

The God I know is also the one who helped me and had led me to know Him more and more.....a deepening knowledge of Him. But such knowledge will only be available to everyone who embraces Him wholeheartedly, in full-surrender, in full-obedience, in faith...

I truly praise and honor Him with my life; yes, there are lot of times I am not able to adhere to His teachings, living 100% in His guidance and light, in words and in deeds, somehow it is a challenge for me everyday and yet what I can affirm is that He is truly a loving and merciful God, my Father in Heaven, my Saviour, my Comforter and Shield, the one who always let me see how beautiful His heart is and how unconditional His love for me.........for all of us.

I will continue to share Him through this blog, I will let Him do the prompting in my life, I will live for Him everyday, every moment, every breath, and my utmost prayer is that others too may come to have a deepening relationship with Him :)

God bless everyone (".)

Dear Loving Father in Heaven, praise and glory to You! As we commemorate Thanksgiving, teach us to be grateful always all the days of our lives. May we remember to give thanks to all your blessings- big or small. May you continue to bless us abundantly. May our lives reflect a deep longing for You, a relationship to value more than what we have, and may You are dearest Creator, the giver of all good things, keep as strengthened and renewed as we wait for You with joyful and grateful living. These we pray in Jesus name, Amen.(WEEK 3 (NOV.) November 17, 2011- Leviticus 14-15

Today is the day :)
If you have not received Jesus Christ yet in your heart, today is the day. May you embrace His love and His gift :)

"Lord Jesus, I believe You are truly the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior, accepting the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross. Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen." (ref prayer by: Mr. Charles Stanley)

Why am I doing this? Simple...."I am driven by the eternal destiny of others."
