#190 Prayer With Impact

A blessed and reflective reading to all :)

Colossians 1(ESV)
Greeting
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
and Timothy our brother,
2 To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, 5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, 7 just as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf 8 and has made known to us your love in the Spirit.

9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you,

asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him,

bearing fruit in every good work

and increasing in the knowledge of God.

11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,

12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

The Preeminence(supremacy) of Christ
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven,making peace by the blood of his cross.

21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Paul's Ministry to the Church
24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.

Praise the Lord!

Today is another beautiful day to share Jesus Christ and His words!

I can't help but be prompted to share what I have learned from Dr. Charles Stanley regarding how to make a prayer for yourself, and for others, with impact. This is so beautiful, I hope and pray that you will also include it in your prayer life at all times :)

The basis of the prayer by Dr. Charles was based on this verse/s from the book of Colossians, Chapter 1:

9 ...we have not ceased to pray for you,

asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

(1) Pray to our Father in Heaven to show His will to you, or to the person you want to pray to;

(2) Pray to our Father in Heaven to be worthy of Him at all times, everyday you live your life for Him; make Jesus Christ, His personification, as your role model

(3) Pray to our Father in Heaven to bear fruit in every good work;

(4) Pray to our Father in Heaven to give you the renewed enthusiasm to know Him everyday;

(5) Pray to our Father in Heaven to empower and renew your strength everyday;

(6) last but not the least, give thanks to our Father in Heaven on everything (remember: make everyday an attitude of gratitude; as long as you are breathing-- you are blessed beyond measure.)

God bless :)

Inspirational Prayer:
Dearest Loving Father in Heaven,
Praise You and your Holy Name! I glorify You with my lips. I am awed everyday You let me be in your presence. I thank You with the life You have given me. Words will not suffice how humbled I am for the opportunity to be with You at all times, I praise You with my life, please let me honor You in my words and my actions every moment, every breath. Forgive me please for all my iniquities, cleanse me and make me pure so that I may be able to stand in your holy presence, blameless and righteous. I ask You to please continue to show your will for my life, let me be guided by your perfect will and purpose. It is my utmost prayer that "Your will be my will, Your ways be my ways, and Your thoughts be my thoughts," every moment I live my life for You. Let me be filled by the Holy Spirit as I breathe for You. Ignite in me a fire and passion to seek You and know You at all times with enthusiasm, my dear unfathomable God. Let me cling to You everyday; You are my Strength, my Stronghold, my Comforter; empower me so that I may be able to face my circumstances with enthusiasm and vigor, to be like an eagle, soaring on high. As I continue to remain in your vine, let me bear fruits, fruits for the spread of your kingdom and for your glory dear Father. And everyday, rekindle in me the joyful expectation of your coming back for my redemption and for others who have accepted You to be their Saviour and King. I love you with all my heart. This I pray, in Jesus mighty and holy name, AMEN!

May Jesus' love abounds in us all everyday (".)

Today is the day :)
If you have not received Jesus Christ yet in your heart, today is the day. May you embrace His love and His gift :)

"Lord Jesus, I believe You are truly the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior, accepting the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross. Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen." (ref prayer by: Dr. Charles Stanley, InTouch Ministry)

Why am I doing this?
Simple...."I am driven by the eternal destiny of others."
