#11 From D' Book of Isaiah (Chapter 1-32)

These are some of the verses I've selected when I've contemplated the Book of Isaiah (Chapter 1-32) that may help us see how our Loving God truly "talks" to us.

May our hearts and spirits be uplifted!

(our Loving Lord reminds us that we need to always choose what is right and do what is good, we would never want to be consumed by His fire, don't we?)
Isaiah 1:16-20
16 Wash and make yourselves clean
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong
17 Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow.
18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the LORD.
Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.
19 If you are willing and obedient,
you will eat the good things of the land;
20 but if you resist and rebel,
you will be devoured by the sword.”
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

(worthiness and honor is only due to our One True God, no one else)
Isaiah 2:22
22 Stop trusting in mere humans,
who have but a breath in their nostrils.
Why hold them in esteem?

(when we truly seek and follow our Loving Lord with all our hearts, He will let us see, hear and understand, and we will all be healed)
Isaiah 6:10
10 Make the heart of this people calloused;
make their ears dull
and close their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.”

(we don't have any right to put our Loving God to the test)
Isaiah 7:12
12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask; I will not put the LORD to the test.”

(this is just one of His assurances...)
Isaiah 9:1
...there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress...

(Jesus is the great light; in Him, we will never be in the dark)
Isaiah 9:2
2 The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.

(Jesus, He is the true message, He is our salvation)
Isaiah 9:6
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

(all His words will come into completion)
Isaiah 9:7
7 Of the greatness of His government and peace
there will be no end
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.

(just a bit of a picturesque of God's Kingdom)
Isaiah 11:6-9
6 The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them.
7 The cow will feed with the bear,
their young will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den,
and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
9 They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea

(as we trust in our Loving Lord, fear will flee from us; He will always be our source of strength and He will be our constant defender)
Isaiah 12:1-2
1 In that day you will say:
“I will praise you, LORD.
Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
and you have comforted me.
2 Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation.”

(may we always give Him honor every moment of our lives)
Isaiah 12:4
4 In that day you will say:
Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted

(we should never doubt His words)
Isaiah 14:24
24 The LORD Almighty has sworn,
Surely, as I have planned, so it will be,
and as I have purposed, so it will happen

(He is the only One, He is our Lord Almighty)
Isaiah 14:27
27 For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him?
His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?

(Jesus, He is our Prince of Peace, He is our God of Righteousness and Justice; may we all walk with Him in perfection)
Isaiah 16:5
5 In love a throne will be established;
in faithfulness a man will sit on it—
one from the house of David—
one who in judging seeks justice
and speeds the cause of righteousness.

(Glory to the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings!)
Isaiah 25:1
1 LORD, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.

(our God is our Refuge, and our Shelter)
Isaiah 25:4
4 You have been a refuge for the poor,
a refuge for the needy in their distress,
a shelter from the storm
and a shade from the heat

(may we all long for this day to come - the time when we will all be united with Him in His Kingdom)
Isaiah 25:8
8 He will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears
from all faces
he will remove his people’s disgrace
from all the earth.
The LORD has spoken.

(may we all wait on our God with vigor and enthusiasm)
Isaiah 25:9
9 In that day they will say,
Surely this is our God;
we trusted in him, and he saved us.
This is the LORD, we trusted in him;
let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

(as we continue to walk with Him, He will never let us stumble because He is leveling up the pathway we take)
Isaiah 26:7
7 The path of the righteous is level;
you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth.

(we will all experience inner peace despite the chaos and instability around us)
Isaiah 26:12
12 LORD, you establish peace for us;
all that we have accomplished you have done for us.

(may we all be part of His people who hopes and waits for Him)
Isaiah 28:5
5 In that day the LORD Almighty
will be a glorious crown,
a beautiful wreath
for the remnant of his people.

(God is our compassionate Father, He always forgives; He carries all our burdens; He is our Peace and our hearts will never falter; He is our Stronghold)
Isaiah 30:15
15 This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says:
In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength

(our God knows our innermost being, He knows our choices and our preoccupations)
Isaiah 30:18
18 Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the LORD is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!

(our Loving Lord always leads us to the right path)
Isaiah 30:21
21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

(our gracious God shows us the worthy plans to take hold of and carry)
Isaiah 32:8
8 But the noble make noble plans,
and by noble deeds they stand.

(He always assures us that we are always safe in His hands - in His serenity)
Isaiah 32:17-18
17 The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
18 My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
in secure homes,
in undisturbed places of rest.

May we all reach out for our Bible and contemplate on it, have a good day (".)
