#124 Be Clothed With Jesus

A blessed and reflective reading to all (".)

Romans 13 (excerpts)
1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established

...it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.

7 Give to everyone what you owe them:
        If you owe taxes, pay taxes;
        if revenue, then revenue;
        if respect, then respect;
        if honor, then honor.8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another

...for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law

9The commandments,
        “You shall not commit adultery,”
        “You shall not murder,”
        “You shall not steal,”
        “You shall not covet,”
          and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command:
        “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor.

...Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

...our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather,

...clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

Praise God!
What comes to my mind today and what I want to share is this passage:
1 Corinthians 3:11-15
11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

After we have received Jesus as the Lord of our lives, it is our duty to live in accordance to His will. He gave us the Scriptures (the Bible) to be our guide, our map, our instant "book for the dummies" because He wants us all to see the real meaning of living our lives for Him. I always mention that it is not easy, but truly a challenge to live for Him, but if you are assured everyday that redemption is near, and that our Loving Lord is ready to receive us all in His Kingdom, and that He had prepared a wondrous place for us, how can we not prepare ourselves here on earth while waiting patiently for Him by doing what He wants us to do. Remember, a wise builder based his foundation on gold, silver and precious stones, not wood hay or straw.

May we all forego the desires of our flesh and live spiritually according to His will and purpose :)

Have a great day in the Lord!

InTouch Impact Team Prayer Partnership:
Please pray with me,
(for the month of December)

WEEK 2: This Christmas, ask the Father to stir the hearts
of the lost, giving them a hunger to know Him personally.

Pray for Him to provide witnesses who can clearly share

the gospel with them.

WEEK 3: Christmas is especially difficult for those who
are hurting emotionally or experiencing another type of unmet need. Pray for these people to sense the comfort and encouragement of the Lord.

WEEK 4: Lift up believers this week as we celebrate Christ’s

birth. Pray that we will be able to meditate on the spiritual

meaning of the holiday in the midst of all the festivities.

WEEK 5: As we begin a new year, ask God to show every

believer His will for his or her life. Pray that each Christian

will have a heart that is willing and obedient to the Lord.

Glory to GOD!
May Jesus' love abounds in us all everyday (".)

December 11, 2011- Deuteronomy 5-7

Today is the day :)
If you have not received Jesus Christ yet in your heart, today is the day. May you embrace His love and His gift :)

"Lord Jesus, I believe You are truly the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior, accepting the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross. Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen." (ref prayer by: Dr. Charles Stanley, InTouch Ministry)

Why am I doing this? Simple...."I am driven by the eternal destiny of others."
