#133 Christmas and the "Good News"

This is to continue our reflection of "Dec. 15th to 31st deepening knowledge on the birth of Jesus- the Christmas story."

May this help us deepen our knowledge on Jesus and His birth.

A blessed and reflective reading to all (".)

This verse is the very essence why we are celebrating Christmas. Today, as we continue to reflect on Christmas, may we be in awe how precious really is God's love for all of us. Please click the link below on Uncomplicating Christmas for further reflection :)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Discussion Questions
What is your favorite childhood memory of Christmas?

Why does the Christmas season cause us stress as adults even though it was a time of excitement and joy when we were children?

Read John 3:16. How does the idea that "believe" means "place your complete trust in" change the meaning of the verse for you?

Have you ever tried to change your behavior or get back to church as a way of reconnecting with God? Did it work?

Read John 17:3. What do you think it means to know God?
John 17:3
English Standard Version (ESV)
And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

If there's never been a time in your life when you have quit trusting in yourself and begun trusting in Jesus Christ, what's preventing you from taking that step?

Moving Forward
The message of the gospel is one hundred percent good news. If your feelings about God, Jesus, or the church don't reflect that, then perhaps someone has misled you. The gospel isn't a call for you to straighten up and get your life in order.

God loved.
God gave.
We believe.
We receive.

It's as simple as that.

Praise God!
Yes, praise and thank God; thank you to our Heavenly Father that He sent His Son Jesus. Thank you that You love us so much-- an infinite love, an immeasurable love, a love that surpasses all understanding.

May we deepen our knowledge of God and grow deeper into Him everyday of our lives.

Jesus is truly our "good news!"

Have a great day in the Lord!

InTouch Impact Team Prayer Partnership:
Please pray with me,
(for the month of December)

WEEK 4: Lift up believers this week as we celebrate Christ’s
birth. Pray that we will be able to meditate on the spiritual

meaning of the holiday in the midst of all the festivities.

WEEK 5: As we begin a new year, ask God to show every

believer His will for his or her life. Pray that each Christian

will have a heart that is willing and obedient to the Lord.

Glory to GOD!
May Jesus' love abounds in us all everyday (".)

Bible in a Year:
Read the Bible in One Year- Here's a reading plan where you and I can focus on God's Words everyday....to make it a habit, make it a practice, Amen :)

Read with me; God speaks to us through His words :)
December 20, 2011- Deuteronomy 32-34; Psalm 91

Today is the day :)
If you have not received Jesus Christ yet in your heart, today is the day. May you embrace His love and His gift :)

"Lord Jesus, I believe You are truly the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior, accepting the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross. Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen." (ref prayer by: Dr. Charles Stanley, InTouch Ministry)

Why am I doing this? Simple...."I am driven by the eternal destiny of others."
