#164 Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

A blessed and reflective reading to all :)

2 Corinthians 4 (excerpts)

...we do not lose heart.

...we have renounced secret and shameful ways;

...we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God.

...For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

...We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

...Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Praise and thank God!
When Jesus said "follow me", He did not say that our lives will be a bed of roses everyday. What He said is that-- "...in this world you would have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world." (John 6:33)

I can't help but say praise God for letting us be reminded that this life is not the life He stored for all of us. In this fallen world, everything seems bleak, but we have Jesus, and things, and people, and surroundings become a little bit brighter because of Him.

When I feel down, feeling sorry for myself, I am just glad that His presence in me is such overwhelming that all the clouds of doubt, fear, and anxieties is lifted up and replaced by the confident hope that as I continue to fix my eyes on Him, I am renewed again.

Yes, as uncertain life is, the future, His move in my life, I will continue to hold on to Him tightly, cling on Him steadily because I truly believe that I am in the best hands-- the hands of my Almighty God, my Stronghold, my Refuge, my Rock!

God bless to all :)

Glory to GOD!
May Jesus' love abounds in us all everyday (".)

Today is the day :)
If you have not received Jesus Christ yet in your heart, today is the day. May you embrace His love and His gift :)

"Lord Jesus, I believe You are truly the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I receive You as my personal Savior, accepting the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross. Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen." (ref prayer by: Dr. Charles Stanley, InTouch Ministry)

Why am I doing this? Simple...."I am driven by the eternal destiny of others."
